Instructions for Electronic Submissions

Including Volunteering and Reviewing

The SIGCHI Electronic Conference Site supports:
  1. Volunteering to review and mentor for the conference.
  2. Submissions for three tracks:

    • Papers
    • Late Breaking Results, and
    • Design Expo
  3. Reviewing for those who have been assigned reviews.

To use the system for any of these purposes, go to: http://precisionconference.com/~sigchi.

First time users must create an account

All users who have not used this system since June 2002 must create an account. Click "Create your own account." Supply your email address; you will receive an email message with your initial user ID and password, which you can change after logging on.

Log on to your account

The first time you log on, you will be asked to specify your user ID and password, and to supply contact information. When you log on (or, if you are logging on for the first time, after you supply your contact information) your SIGCHI account page will appear.

On your SIGCHI account page

After you log on to your SIGCHI account page you will be able to:

  • Volunteer to mentor or review
You will be able to volunteer to mentor or review; this will require providing information about your past experience, and so on. This information will be retained in the system from year to year.
  • Submit contributions
You will be able to submit items for the Papers, Late Breaking Results, and Design Expo tracks. Note that you are not required to finish the submission process in one session; the system will save what you enter, keep track of the whether your submission has been completed or not, and allow you to return to finish later. However, you must click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page for your input and subsequent changes to be accepted.
  • Review
You will be able to access assigned review materials, and to submit your reviews.
  • Update your account and contact information
You will be able to update your account information, including user ID and password, at any time.
